PRELUDE

It was started so many long time back when I was back in my childhood, I have been seeing my Mom doing some random and monotonous works. Later on, I was teenager and I released they were my mother’s hobbies. One of these two hobbies is, Sewing Comforter, in bangla, কাথা শেলাই করা” and another one is Making Cakes, what we call “Pitha” (পিঠা), in specially কাটা পিঠা. They are very decorative and has to made by hand with 2/3 pieces of date tree’s thorn. She is so smart of making Pithas.

2014, at the door of 30 years of my age, all of a sudden I had a flicker. Day after one day I shared with my best friend about the gimps. It was my Mom, who was being inspiring me from the behind of my unconscious little mind.

yeah, it's my MOM, for whom today what I am. She does not even know, how she has built my soul as a Designer from the beginning of my life.

The students were passing through the orientation classes and one of their favorite teachers Mr. Nadvi Ahmed, also knows as a Famous Artist or Bangladesh, was asking them: "Do u know, what is the difference between a Designer and an Artist?" Most of the scholars became confused; some of them were trying to be right. Nevertheless, Mr. Nadvi answered them correctly: "Artists are not bound to sale their creations, but Designers are.”

Artists usually do labor by their own aspiration but, designers have to do the stuffs by their own client's demand. Therefore, a designer is more professional rather than an artist and this is exactly what Mr. Nadvi was trying to make clear to his scholars to be aware of. Consequently, GRAPHIC DESIGN used to better known as COMMERCIAL ART. Henceforward, I feel proud to being through this orientation classes at my university life, that addressed by Mr. Nadvi and I would like be grateful endlessly to Mr. Nadvi for fixing up my mind more into professionalism.
